

陶粒采用优质陶土、粘土、粘溶剂等经团磨、筛分、煅烧加工而成,呈黑褐色球状,具有表面坚硬,内部多微孔,孔隙率高,比表面积大,堆积比重轻,强度大,从而反冲洗能耗低,截污能力强,滤速高,化学性能稳定,抗酸碱性能强,使用寿命长等特点。

陶粒分为页岩陶粒、生物陶粒、建筑陶粒、粘土陶粒(种花陶粒)。
页岩陶粒的内部结构特征呈细密蜂窝状微孔,这些微孔都是封闭型的,而不是连通型的,它是由于气体被包裹进壳内而形成的,这是陶粒质轻的主要原因,主要用于酸、中、碱性水的过滤,是理想的水处理产品。页岩陶粒比重小、机械强度高、耐冲耐磨损、节省能耗,生物稳定性、化学稳定性及热力学稳定性好,页岩陶粒由于表面粗糙,微孔结构丰富、比表面积大,因此截污能力强,挂膜效率高,利于微生物生长繁殖,生物量高,页岩陶粒抗冲击负荷能力强,耐低温,易挂膜,启动快,反冲洗能耗低 。
生物陶粒的外观特征大部分呈圆形或椭圆形球体,但也有一些仿碎石陶粒不是圆形或椭圆形球体,而呈不规则碎石状。生物陶粒是一种颗粒状水处理滤料,生物陶粒具有机械强度高、耐冲刷、耐磨损、理化性能稳定等特点,同时由于其微孔丰富、表面粗糙、比表面积大,使用寿命长、耐腐蚀、吸附性能好、颗粒均匀、密度适宜、不易结板、流失量小,因此截污能力强、挂膜效率高,又利于微生物生长、繁殖、可有效去除水中有机物,悬浮及淡磷等。
建筑陶粒具有优异的性能,如密度低、筒压强度高、孔隙率高,软化系数高、抗冻性良好、抗碱集料反应性优异等。特别由于陶粒密度小,内部多孔,形态、成分较均一,且具一定强度和坚固性,因而具有质轻,耐腐蚀,抗冻,抗震和良好的隔绝性等多功能特点。
粘土陶粒保水保肥性能良好,陶粒内部孔隙在没有水分时充满空气,当有充足水分时,吸入一部分水,仍能保持部分气体中间,当根系周围水分不足时,陶粒内的水分通过其表面扩散到陶粒间的孔隙内,供根系吸收及维持根系周围的空气湿度。粘土陶粒保肥能力适中:与水分一样,陶粒也能贮藏养分缓释给根系。粘土陶粒化学性质稳定,无污染,陶粒本身无异味,也不释放有害物质,无病虫害滋生,特别适合室内摆设。粘土陶粒形体美观,质量轻,有利搬运。粘土陶粒可重复使用,减少浪费,上盆前,可先将陶粒清洗分级待用。

陶粒具有密度低、筒压强度高、孔隙率高,软化系数高、抗冻性良好、抗碱集料反应性优异等特点。特别由于陶粒密度小,内部多孔,形态、成分较均一,且具一定强度和坚固性,因而具有质轻、耐腐蚀、抗冻、抗震和良好的隔绝性等多功能特点。利用陶粒这些优异的性能,可以将它广泛应用与建材、园艺、食品饮料、耐火保温材料、化工、石油等部门,应用领域越来越广。
1、建筑材料
陶粒混凝土已广泛应用于工业与民用建筑的各类型预构件和现浇混凝土工程中(如预应力和非预应力的、承重结构或围护的、隔热或抗渗的,静载或动载的)。陶粒还可应用于管道保温、炉体保温隔热、保冷隔热和隔音吸声等其他建筑材料;亦可用作农业和园林中的无土基床材料及滤水材料。
2、绿化材料
由于陶粒具有多孔、质轻、表面强度高的特殊构造,用于园林绿化、室内绿化即满足了植物含水的需要,同时也满足了透气的要求,尤其是其无粉尘、质轻的特点已经越来越多地应用到室内观赏植物的养殖中了。陶粒除了具有多孔、轻重、表面强度高等物理性能外,在生产过程中还使其具有了一定的活性物质,因而陶粒已开始用于与日常生活有关的饮水、洗浴等方面来,如过放在饮水机中过滤饮用水、放在淋浴花洒的手柄中增加水的活性等。
3、工业过滤材料
陶粒的活性物质还被大量用于工业中。生物陶粒滤料可作为工业废水高负荷生物滤料池的生物挂膜载体,自来水的微污染水源,预处理的生物滤池.含油废水的粗粒化材料,离子交换树脂垫层,微生物干燥贮存;适用于饮用水的深度处理,它具有吸附水体中的有害元素,细菌,矿化水质,是活性生物降解有害物质效果最好的滤料,和生物滤池中最好的生物膜载体。
